DMRC's Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar, conducted a comprehensive night inspection (July 10/11, 2026) of the Blue Line to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure and passenger amenity enhancement works being undertaken at various stations along the corridor. Dr. Kumar inspected and reviewed station remodelling works, installation of new escalators, realignment of AFC Gates etc and other passenger-centric infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the overall commuter experience. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw held a review meeting with officials at Rail Bhawan in the national capital on May 7, 2026, and issued directions to ensure that passengers do not face any inconvenience during the transition of trains from the 40-year-old reservation system to the upgraded system.
